Your decorative Wall Art in 3 layers:

  1. Transfer Tape - This is the top layer, and is a slightly transparent layer of masking tape that.
  2. Decorative Wall Art - This is the middle layer and is the actual letting and/or embellishments that will remain on the wall when your installation is complete.
  3. Backing Paper - This is the thick paper that the decorative Wall Art is placed on. This will be removed first once you have the piece positioned properly and taped to the wall.

After applying your decorative Wall Art, you will discard both the transfer tape and the backing paper. They are used for protection and installation only.

Step 1 - Wall Preparation

  • Make sure the wall is clean and free of dust, dirt or other markings. You can use a light household cleaner to clean the wall before installation. Make sure the wall is perfectly dry before proceeding.

  • Decide where you want the Wall Art to be placed on the wall. Use a yard stick to mark the horizontal center line for your piece, insuring this line is level. It is best to make light markings that will be visible on the outside edges of your Wall Art.

Step 2 - Prepare the Wall Art

  • Unroll your Wall Art and lay flat in a warm area until it no longer curls
  • Lay the Wall Art on a flat surface like a table so that you can read or view the piece as you would when applied to the wall.
  • Use a flat tool, like the edge of a credit card, and press firmly and rub over the entire Wall Art piece. This adheres the Wall Art to the transfer tape.

Step 3 - Align and Mount to Wall

  • Align your Wall Art piece making sure it is level by matching the measurement marks on the backing paper, to the markings you have made on the wall.
  • Once you have the piece where you want it, place small pieces of painters tape or masking tape along the top edge, spacing about 1-2 inches apart. You will use these pieces of tape as hinges in the next step.
  • Rotate the Wall Art up, using the tape as a hinge. Peel back the thick backing paper from the Wall Art. Move slowly and carefully and make sure the Wall Art stays attached to the sticky transfer tape.
  • Slowly and carefully rotate the Wall Art back down, and smooth the transfer tape and Wall Art to the wall with your hands, making sure not to have any wrinkles or folds.

Step 4 - Burnish and Remove Transfer Tape

  • Again, use the edge of a credit card to burnish and apply the Wall Art firmly to the wall. Slowly rub the credit card over the entire Wall Art piece and make sure to pay special attention to the edges, and sharp corners of the Wall Art.
  • Slowly peel the transfer tape from the wall and Wall Art. You may want to keep the credit card handy to go back over any edges that are not sticking to the wall properly. Move from one side of the piece to the other, and completely remove the transfer tape.
  • Rub the Wall Art firmly with your fingertip and make sure it is completely applied to the wall. Again, paying special attention to edges and sharp corners.
  • Remove or erase any marking you have made to the wall.
  • Congratulations....you are DONE!
